The Bitcoin Economy

by Anthony Derbidge, MPA

Sovereignty for the Quantum Era. A plain-language guide to a post-quantum, Bitcoin-anchored system for identity, credentials, decentralized AI, and verifiable economic memory.

Products

The durable proof layer

Six proprietary components on the open Bitcoin Attestation Network protocol. Each runs today. Each is licensed through Blockie Talkie LLC.

AttestoBind

Identity adapters: KERI, DID, SPIFFE, Sigstore, C2PA, OpenID4VC, X.509, Proofnet Native. Normalized under ML-DSA-87.

Memory Blocks

Native Proofnet record layer. Every accepted proof becomes a replayable row before any optional external anchor.

AttestoScript

Bounded, deterministic contract runtime. Receipts carry the caller identity binding and are signed under ML-DSA-87.

BTCore

Service routing and discovery. Every route advertisement binds to the advertising node's Proofnet identity.

PQTLS

Post-quantum transport handshake bound to Proofnet node identity. Replaces classical certificate trust.

Toshi PQ1

Hardware-held ML-DSA-87 signing. Keys never leave the device. Public verification output only.

For institutions & educators

Stop renting the same AI twenty times.

Per-seat SaaS AI costs a single 25,000-student institution roughly $7.8M per year across four common tools. Sovereign AI replaces every one of those per-seat inference fees with one deployment on your hardware, over records students actually own, signed post-quantum so they survive Q-day.

Higher Ed

Bring your own AI

One deployment. FERPA boundary. $7.8M annual savings pattern on real math. Students own their records.

Qubit readiness

Records that survive Q-day

Transcripts signed with RSA/ECDSA today become unverifiable after quantum. Proofnet signs them under ML-DSA-87, FIPS 204, post-quantum-final.

How it works

Proofnet in one paragraph, then how advanced it really is.

Every identity system, every Bitcoin block, every contract call, every transport handshake produces accepted state , a fact that was true at a moment in time. Proofnet canonicalizes that state with SHA3-512, signs it with ML-DSA-87 (FIPS 204 post-quantum), and writes it into Memory Blocks as a replayable row. Years later, with no upstream service, no CA, no witness, no resolver, you can still prove exactly what was accepted.

01 · Adapter-neutral proof

One identity_binding record covers KERI, DID, SPIFFE, X.509, Sigstore, C2PA, OpenID4VC, OAuth, Proofnet Native. Upstream services stay in place. No other protocol normalizes identity into one post-quantum signed artifact.

02 · Two-mode deployment

Wrap classical identity and Bitcoin's ECDSA chain, or embed post-quantum from day one with Proofnet Native, Toshi PQ1 hardware, and PQTLS transport. Same proof shape either way.

03 · Row-committed Bitcoin

Bitcoin signs with ECDSA, a classical primitive. Proofnet row-commits Bitcoin blocks into Memory Blocks under ML-DSA-87. When ECDSA breaks, the Proofnet record of accepted Bitcoin history still verifies.

04 · Memory Blocks

Not a log. Not a blockchain clone. A deterministic row-commitment ledger. Every attesto , identity binding, provenance packet, contract receipt, transport proof, Bitcoin commitment , becomes a row.

05 · AttestoScript

A bounded, deterministic contract runtime. Every receipt cites the caller identity binding, is hashed with SHA3-512, signed under ML-DSA-87. Auditors replay and re-derive the same output digest.

06 · BTCore + PQTLS

Service routes bound to node identity. Transport handshakes under ML-KEM-1024/Kyber-1024 + ML-DSA-87. The classical CA dependency is removed. Consumers verify identity before trusting the session.

07 · Toshi PQ1

ML-DSA-87 keys generated and held inside a production-grade secure element. Private key never leaves the device. The first production hardware wallet issuing PQ signatures.

08 · Proofnet AI

A local reasoning model operating directly over the Memory Block record layer. Every AI output is auditable back to the signer because every record is deterministic and identity-bound.

The full proof chain, integrated

AttestoBind binding → Memory Block row → AttestoScript receipt → PQTLS handshake → BTCore route manifest → Toshi PQ1 signature → Proofnet AI reasoning trace

One continuous proof chain. One post-quantum signature algorithm. One canonical digest. One record layer. Every step is replayable without the upstream services that originally produced it.

What it's not: not “Bitcoin plus post-quantum theater.” Not a Layer 2. Not a rebranded Merkle-tree notary. Not a blockchain clone. Proofnet is a proof-layer protocol with six licensable implementations on top of an open protocol. FIPS 204 primitives are NIST-final. Adapters are real code. Full technology →
